Freckles are little brown spots on the skin caused by the sun.

About Freckles

Our skin contains pigment-producing cells called melanocytes. Melanocytes produce melanin pigment that prevents us from being damaged by the sun’s rays. When our melanocytes become damaged by the sun, we produce freckles, which are simply abnormal collections of melanin pigment in the skin.

Removing Freckles

Before having your freckles removed it is important to en sure you don't have any cancerous or pre-cancerous spots. Lasers are very effective at removing freckles because they sit on the top of the skin and respond easily to laser light. We use the V-Beam vascualr laser to remove freckles.
