Liver/Age Spot Removal
Liver spots are changes in skin color associated with age. The increased pigmentation may be brought on by exposure to sun or other forms of ultraviolet light. Liver spots (also known as age spots and sun spots) are harmless, flat, brown skin pigmentations which usually occur on the back of the hands, neck and face on people older than 40 years of age.
They are unrelated to the liver or liver function. They are not freckles.
Liver spots appear on the areas of highest sun exposure: they are excess pigmentation deposited in the skin during years of sun exposure. The "liver" spots are not harmful, but can make a person look older and are often unattractive. Occasionally, liver spots mask the diagnosis of skin cancers.
